The BotX POS system supports QR code-based online ordering, allowing customers to browse the menu, place orders, and pay directly from their smartphones. Each table has a unique QR code that connects customers to your digital menu, improving order speed and reducing staff workload.
Before generating QR codes, make sure your Table Layout is set up:
Each table you create will automatically generate a corresponding unique QR code.
Go to the Store Office menu.
Tap Settings.
Select the QR Code menu.
Press the βDownload QR Codeβ button.
Your browser will open and prompt you to download a ZIP file.
Tap Download.
Once the download completes, tap the ZIP file. It will automatically unzip into a folder.
This folder includes:
QR codes for each table in your layout.
A QR code for takeout orders.
Open the unzipped folder containing your QR codes.
Resize the QR codes as needed for table signs or displays.
Print and place the corresponding QR code at each table.
Place the Takeout QR code near the entrance, pickup area, or on marketing materials for to-go customers.
When a customer scans a QR code using their smartphone:
Theyβre directed to your online menu for their specific table or for takeout.
They select items, submit the order, and complete payment (if required).
Once the order is submitted, the system alerts your staff.
After a QR code order is submitted:
The iPad running BotX POS will display a bell icon in the bottom right corner, indicating a pending QR code order.
Tap the bell icon or navigate directly to the Orders tab.
Find and tap on the pending order.
Review the items, then tap Confirm.
Once confirmed, the kitchen ticket prints automatically, and the kitchen staff can begin preparing the order.
β Note: Orders are not sent to the kitchen until they are confirmed on the POS.
