The Report feature in BotX POS provides essential data to help you monitor your restaurant’s performance, manage costs, and track communication. It offers powerful insights into sales, profit margins, and SMS usage — all accessible directly from your iPad.
From the BotX POS iPad, navigate to the
Store Office Menu → Report.
Once in the Report section, you’ll see three tabs across the top:
Main Report
Cost Sold Products
SMS Report
The Main Report gives you an overview of your restaurant’s key performance metrics.
Total Sales
Tax collected
Tips
Order count
Sales by category
Breakdown by order type:
Dine-in
Takeout
QR Code orders
Top-selling products
By date range: Use the Start Date and End Date fields.
Quick filters: Use the buttons on the left for:
Today
Week
Month
Tap the printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
This report should be printed after settling the batch on each iPad connected to a PAX payment device.
The Cost Sold Products report helps you calculate your profit margins by comparing item cost vs. sales revenue.
Item names
Quantity sold
Item cost (must be entered manually per menu item)
Total revenue from each item
Calculated profit and margin
⚠️ To ensure accurate profit reports, make sure each menu item has its cost entered in the system.
Tap the printer icon in the bottom right to print a physical copy for review or recordkeeping.
This tab tracks all text message activity sent through BotX POS.
Total number of SMS messages sent
Breakdown by type:
Table Ready
Order Ahead
Waitlist Status
Pickup Ready
Marketing messages
Remaining SMS messages available
Tap +Add More inside the SMS Report tab.
Scan the QR code that appears.
Choose a package:
1,000 SMS
2,000 SMS
Add to cart and complete the payment process.
The additional messages will be automatically added to your account.
Print your Main Report daily after closing and batch settlement.
Use Cost Sold Products weekly or monthly to monitor food cost performance.
Check SMS usage regularly to ensure you don’t run out during peak times.
