🧾 How to Cancel an Item in the POS

Mistakes happen—and that's okay!

If you've sent an order to the kitchen by accident and need to cancel it, follow these quick steps to void the item and notify the kitchen right away.

✅ Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Locate the Item on the Order Screen

    • Navigate to the order where the mistaken item was entered.

  2. Swipe Left on the Item Name

    • On the specific item you want to void, swipe left across the name.

  3. Tap "Delete"

    • After swiping, a Delete button will appear. Tap it to remove the item.

    • Enter reason why item is being deleted and confirm.

  4. Save Changes

    • Once you've deleted the item, be sure to tap "Save Changes" to confirm the action.

  5. Void Receipt Prints Automatically

    • A void receipt will automatically print at the kitchen printer.

    • This notifies the kitchen to cancel preparation of the voided item.


How to Cancel an Entire Order

✅ Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Select the table or order.

    • You will be able to review the order details in the right-hand column.

  2. To cancel an item from the order:

    • Locate the specific item you want to void.

    • Swipe left across the item name.

    • Tap "Cancel" on the top left of the right-hand column.

  3. Confirm Cancellation:

    • A message will prompt you to confirm the cancellation.

    • Tap "Yes" to proceed with the cancellation.

  4. Enter Manager/Admin PIN:

    • If prompted, enter the Manager or Admin PIN of a user with permission to cancel the order.

  5. Void Receipt Prints Automatically:

    • A void receipt will automatically print at the kitchen printer.

    • This notifies the kitchen to cancel the preparation of the voided item.
